The  winter desert is always a fascinating trip for us. As always, we seem to head back to the Little Desert each Queens Birthday weekend in June for some fun in the sand.

As usual, our journey starts with a climb of Mitre Rock, which overlooks Mitre Lake & the National Park.

The rest of the weekend was spent 4WDing along interesting sandy tracks in the National Park as well as some very boggy sections in the Wail State Forest

One of the highlights of this trip is the 5km 'sand run' to finish off our trip. The unnamed sandy track is straight, so high speeds can be obtained as the convoy 'hoons' along with great CB comments of excitement.
